When you only have a short amount of time to travel abroad you want to make sure you spend your time wisely. Taking an Intensive English course in Manchester means you will make the most of your time.
At our Manchester English school our Intensive course comprises of 30 lessons per week (Monday to Friday). Each lesson is 45 minutes, so that’s 22.5 hours per week of lesson time. You can expect to improve your English faster when you are taking more lessons because you are practising more and spending more time with your teachers.
A big benefit of taking our Intensive course is you can choose the area of English you want to focus on. The third lesson of every day is for an elective session. On your first day in school you will be given a list of electives covering different topics, it’s your choice which one you want to take. Some examples of electives are:
- Grammar in Real Contexts
- Academic Techniques in Practice
- Survival English
In lesson you will be given support, feedback and encouragement by a team of two teachers every day.
To help you learn we also provide free academic workshops like pronunciation clinics, lectures and conversation classes.
Your leaning does not stop at the end of the school day. We have a full schedule of after-school social activities. Practise all the English you have learned in a natural way with other EC Manchester students from all over the world. The beautiful thing about going abroad to learn English is you will be surrounded by the language all the time. You will hear English at your accommodation, on your way to school, in lesson and in the evenings with your new friends.
At the end of your course you will receive a certificate to take home with you which shows you have completed a course with us.
The minimum stay for our course is one week; there is no maximum stay and new courses start every Monday throughout the year.
